Helping Your Tag Stay Ready to Help

Your KnowMe Tag™ is built to be worn, loved, and leaned on—but a little care goes a long way in keeping it reliable and functional.

Cleaning & Handling

  • Clean with care: Gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners or harsh chemicals which may degrade the material.

  • Dry thoroughly: If your tag gets wet, simply pat it dry. While the technology is waterproof, avoid soaking it for long periods or putting it through a machine wash.

  • Temperature Control: Store your tag away from direct heat. Avoid placing it on radiators, in tumble dryers, or on the dashboard of a hot car.

  • Handle with Heart: Your tag is designed to be flexible, but the embedded NFC chip is a delicate piece of technology. Avoid excessive bending, twisting, or folding.

Maintaining Your Message

As with all safety equipment, we recommend checking your tag’s efficacy regularly. Simply scan it with your smartphone every few weeks to ensure the chip is performing perfectly and your information is up to date.

Life changes, and your KnowMe Tag™ is designed to change with you. We have left the tag "unlocked" so it can be rewritten as often as you need.

  • How to Update: You can easily change your contacts or medical notes using a free NFC writing app available in your app store.

  • Simple Setup: Follow the step-by-step guide included with your purchase to refresh your data in seconds.
