What Is KnowMe Tag™?

KnowMe Tag™ is a discreet, wearable tag that stores your vital information—emergency contacts, medical alerts, or personal notes—ready to share instantly. It doesn't track you, doesn't need a battery, and requires no Bluetooth. It is quiet power, always with you.

Will My Phone Work With KnowMe Tag™?

Yes. KnowMe Tag™ uses NFC (Near Field Communication)—the same tap-and-go tech used in contactless payments.

  • Android: Most models (2012+) are NFC-ready.

  • iPhones: iPhone 7 and newer support NFC scanning.

  • Compatibility Note: To ensure your tag works seamlessly across all devices (including the latest iPhone 16 or Google Pixel), we offer two programming modes: Live Profile (Web-based) or Off-Grid (Text-only). Full instructions are included to help you choose the best fit for your phone.

Does It Need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

  • Off-Grid Mode: Works completely offline. No signal, no data, no battery.

  • Live Profile Mode: Requires a basic data connection (3G/4G/Wi-Fi) to view the hosted profile, offering a more detailed and visual experience.

Is My Info Safe?

Absolutely. We prioritize your data sovereignty:

  • Off-Grid: Your data stays physically on the tag. No cloud, no databases.

  • Live Profile: You host your profile on your own private link (e.g., a free Canva site). You own the data; we never see it.

  • No Tracking: KnowMe Tag™ is not a GPS tracker. It cannot be used to monitor your location, ensuring total privacy and dignity.

Can I Programme It Myself?

Yes! We can ship your KnowMe Tag™ blank so you remain in total control.

  • In-House Service: If you prefer, our team in Bunclody can programme it for you before shipping.

  • DIY Updates: You can update your information anytime. Note that updating your tag requires a free app and following our step-by-step guide to ensure it remains easy for others to scan.

Can it be used in different languages?

Yes. Because you control the content, you can programme your KnowMe Tag™ in any language. It’s a perfect companion for holidays—just update it to the local language before you fly, and change it back when you return.

What about security if the tag is lost?

We recommend keeping info "practical but not personal." Instead of a home address, use: "I have dementia; please call my daughter at [Number]" or "Severe Nut Allergy." This ensures you get the right help without sharing sensitive identity details like your house number.

Are they waterproof?

Yes! KnowMe Tag™ has been stress-tested and scored top marks. Whether it’s a rainy hike in Wicklow or a splash at the beach, your info is safe.

How big is the KnowMe Tag™?

We have a range to suit every need:

  • Original Badge/Bag Tag: Approx. 45mm–70mm.

  • Keyrings: Approx. 35mm.

  • Lanyards: Standard business card size.

  • Bracelets: Adjustable velcro sizes for children and adults as well as silicone for adults and elasticated adult and children bracelets
